The medium close up of scar shows his damaged body and dirty face . his face is screwed from this you can see the anger that he has in his face . this portrays to the audience that he is going to be an evil character.

The over the shoulder shot shows the power that the lion king has over the land this is because he has an high posture and every other animal is below him.

at 1:00 the low angle shot shows the dominance of scar over the lion cub .the cubs facial expression shows how fragile and scared he is.
